Park In-bee Wins Her First LPGA Title in 16 Months

Former world No.1 female golfer Park In-bee has won the HSBC Women’s Champions, lifting her first Ladies Professional Golf Association(LPGA) Tour trophy in 16 months.
 
The 28-year-old South Korean finished on 19-under 269 at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore on Sunday, after a solid 8-under performance in the day which including nine birdies and a bogey.
 
Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand came in second, a stroke behind.
 
It is her 18th career LPGA win and her first one of the season. She captured her previous title on the LPGA at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in November of 2015.
 
It is Park’s second time winning the HSBC Women’s Champions, having previously won in 2015.
 
Park’s victory marks the third consecutive week South Korean golfers have brought home LPGA victories. Jang Ha-na won the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open on February 19th and Yang Hee-young, or Amy Yang, won the Honda LPGA Thailand on February 26th.
