Team Korea Comes in 2nd in Cyprus Women's Cup

The South Korean women’s national football team lost to Switzerland in the final of the Cyprus Women’s Cup on Thursday.
 
During the final held in the AEK Arena in Larnaca, Cyprus, the South Korean team, led by coach Yoon Deok-yeo, lost the match 0-1. The only goal of the game came in the 12th minute in the second half in the form a free kick by Lara Dickenmann.
 
By finishing second in the match, which was the first international game for the team this year, Team Korea will aim for strong results in the 2018 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification that will open in Pyongyang next month.
 
The team is scheduled to face North Korea’s team on April seventh at the Kim Il-sung Stadium in Pyongyang for a ticket to compete in the Asian Cup’s final tournament.
