A new survey shows that foreign tourists are most satisfied with subways among means of public transportation in South Korea.
 
The Korea Transport Institute released the results of a survey on 649 foreign individual tourists on Monday, which was conducted from September to October at airports and tourist destinations.
 
The institute said that 70 percent of those surveyed picked the nation’s subway system as the most satisfactory public transport experience.
 
As reasons for their satisfaction, the respondents answered that South Korean subways are easy and convenient to use for relatively low fares with good accessibility and little time limit.
 
Foreign tourists are found to be least satisfied with intracity buses because of the difficulty to understand their routes, unfriendly drivers and long waiting times at bus stops.
