Na Hong-jin Wins Best Director Award from AFA

South Korean director Na Hong-jin has received the Best Director award at the Asian Film Awards(AFA) for his 2016 horror movie “The Wailing.”
 
Na was honored with the title at the 11th edition of the AFA held in Hong Kong on Tuesday, beating his competitors—Feng Xiaogang from China, Derek Tsang from Hong Kong and Koji Fukada from Japan.

“The Handmaiden” directed by another South Korean Park Chan-wook claimed four titles, including the best supporting actress, best newcomer, best costume design and best production design.
 
Moon So-ri won the best actress title, while her castmate Kim Tae-ri won best newcomer.
 
The Best Composer award went to South Korean musician Lee Sung-hyun, better known as Mowg, for his work with South Korean film, “The Age of Shadows,” directed by Kim Jee-woon.
