U.S. Toughens Non-immigration Visa Regulations

It will soon become more difficult for travelers to obtain U.S. visas. The U.S. Embassy in Seoul unveiled a set of strict new procedures for non-immigrant visa issuance on Tuesday. According to the new system, all applicants aged between 16 and 55 will be subject to face-to-face interviews starting next Monday, since travel agencies can no longer work on their behalf. Those exempted from visa interviews include applicants for any non-student visa category under 16 or over 55, and those hoping to renew same-category visas that expired less than one year ago.
