Figure skater Choi Da-bin has secured two spots for South Korea in next year's PyeongChang Winter Olympics with a strong performance at the 2017 ISU World Figure Skating Championships.
In the women's single free skating event during the championships in Helsinki on Friday, 17-year-old Choi scored 128-point-45 points combining the Program Components Score and the Technical Elements Score.
She finished the International Skating Union (ISU) championships at tenth overall with a new personal best score of 191-point-11 points, which also includes over 62 points in the short program earlier in the week.
Finishing in the top ten, she has secured two berths for South Korea in the women's singles at the PyeongChang Games.
She beat her previous record by eight-point-seven points, which she set in the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in South Korea in February.
Evgenia Medvedeva of Russia won her second straight world championship in Finland with a record 233-point-41 points.
