S. Korean Golfer Ryu So-yeon Wins 2017 ANA Inspiration

South Korean golfer Ryu So-yeon has won the 2017 ANA Inspiration, which is the LPGA tour season’s first major event.
 
Ryu grabbed the victory at the Dinah Shore Tournament Course of Mission Hills Country Club in California on Sunday with 14-under-274 after scoring four-under par, 68 in the fourth round.
 
Ryu beat Lexi Thompson of the U.S. on the first hole of a playoff to capture the year's first major and win 405-thousand U.S. dollars in prize money.
 
Sunday’s win was Ryu’s second in a major event since she won the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open.
 
In terms of LPGA tours, Sunday’s victory was Ryu’s fourth including her wins in the 2012 Jamie Farr Toledo Classic and the Canadian Pacific Women's Open held in August 2014.
