S. Korea Beats N. Korea 3-0 in Women's Ice Hockey

South Korea won a historic inter-Korean duel at a women’s ice hockey event in Gangneung, Gangwon Province on Thursday.
 
South Korea's national women's ice hockey team beat North Korea 3-0 at the International Ice Hockey Federation(IIHF) Women's World Championship Division II Group A game at Gangneung Hockey Centre.
 
Around five-thousand-800 people watched the inter-Korean rivalry from the stands, the largest crowd during the championship so far.
 
It is South Korea’s fourth consecutive victory in Division II Group A after defeating Slovenia 5-1, the U.K. 3-1 and Australia 8-1.
 
South Korea will face the Netherlands next on Saturday.
 
The winner of Saturday’s game will become the Division II Group A champion and secure a promotion to Division I Group B next year.
