WHO Chief Recommends Precautions against SARS Relapse in Winter

The new head of the World Health Organization says the U-N health agency is taking precautions against a possible re-emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome in the winter. Doctor Lee Jong-wook, the first South Korean to lead a U-N agency, made the statement in a news conference in Geneva. He said that even though it is not yet certain whether the deadly seasonal disease may recur during the winter season, the WHO should not let down its guard. Lee said he plans on strengthening the organization
