The torch relay for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games will begin on November first in South Korea.
The organizing committee for the PyeongChang Olympic and Paralympic Games announced its plans for the torch relay.
Under the slogan “Let Everyone Shine,” the PyeongChang Olympic flame will travel a route of two-thousand-18 kilometers, changing into the hands of seven-thousand-500 runners.
The route consists of 17 provinces and cities around South Korea, including 18 cities and counties in Gangwon Province where the games will be held.
The torch will be lit in Olympia, Greece, on October 24th and tour around the European country for a week. It will then be handed over to a PyeongChang Olympic delegation in Athens on October 31st.
The torch will arrive in South Korea on November first, exactly 100 days ahead of the opening of the PyeongChang games.
