France to Offer French/Korean Bilingual Education

Beginning September, students in France will be able to learn subjects such as history, math and literature in both French and Korean.

The Korean Education Center in France said Wednesday that French/Korean bilingual classes will be offered at elementary, middle and high schools in France from the coming academic year.

Students who wish to participate in the international stream, which is part of the public education curriculum, take classes in French as well as the language of their choice.

International streams are offered in 17 languages including English, Spanish and German, at 114 elementary, 189 middle and 160 high schools in France.

The Korean stream is currently recruiting students interested in learning the language.
