S. Korean Tennis Player Chung Hyeon Fails to Reach Final of BMW Open Tournament

South Korean tennis player Chung Hyeon has failed to reach the final round of the BMW Open men’s tournament in Germany.

In the semifinal of the men’s single in Munich on Saturday, Chung, ranked 78th in the world, lost to the 158th-ranked Argentine Guido Pella 4-6, 7-5, 4-6.

Chung defeated world No. 16 Gael Monfils in the second round of the tournament and then won against Martin Klizan, the winner of the 2014 event in the quarterfinal, to become the first South Korean player to reach a semifinal in the ATP World Tour.
