Park Tae-hwan Wins 3 Golds at 2017 Arena Pro Swim Series

Swimmer Park Tae-hwan has grabbed another gold medal at the 2017 Arena Pro Swim Series held in Atlanta in the U.S. state of Georgia.

Park won the men’s one-thousand 500-meter freestyle on Monday morning by stopping the clock at a time of 15 minutes six-point-38 seconds.

It was not as good as his best and the Korean record of 14 minutes 47-point-38 seconds, which he set at Australia’s New South Wales Open Swimming Championships in 2012. But he cruised to finish more than ten seconds ahead of the runner-up in the U.S. competition.

Park has earned a total of three golds at the 2017 Arena Pro Swim Series, including the men’s 400-meter and 200-meter freestyles.

With these achievements, he has gained a ticket to the 17th FINA World Aquatics Championships, which will be held in Budapest, Hungary, in July this year.
