Government sources in Seoul said Sunday South Korea and the United States will hold talks in Hawaii this week to discuss possible adjustments to their current military alliance structure.

The two-day meeting, scheduled to kick off Wednesday, will focus on details related to moving both the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division and American troops stationed in Seoul to a location south of the Han River.

Seoul and Washington are also likely to debate the timing for the transfer to South Korea of 10 key military responsibilities of the United States.
