S. Korea’s BTS Tops Billboard Twitter Top Tracks Chart

South Korean idol boy group BTS is now sitting at the top of Billboard’s Twitter Top Tracks chart after beating former members of the sensational boy band One Direction.

According to the latest Billboard release on Monday, BTS’ “Not Today” soared 23 places from last week to top the chart, replacing “Sweet Creature” and “Slow Hands,” solo singles sung by Harry Styles and Niall Horan of One Direction.

One Direction is an international sensation that ranked second on Forbes’ top-earning celebrities list in June last year, following American pop star Taylor Swift.

The Twitter Top Tracks chart is comprised of the songs that are most shared or mentioned on the social media channel for the week.

BTS also came in tenth on the Billboard Top 100 Artists chart, the highest position any South Korean musician has ever achieved. It also topped Billboard's Social 50 chart for the 24th time since October 29th of last year.
