S. Korea Defeats Guinea 3-0 at FIFA U-20 World Cup

South Korea defeated Guinea 3-0 to make a fine start to the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

In the first match of Group A on Saturday at Jeonju World Cup Stadium, Lee Seung-woo, who plays for Spanish club FC Barcelona Juvenil A, scored the first goal in the 36th minute.

Second-half substitute Lim Min-hyeok and FC Barcelona B midfielder Paik Seung-ho scored a goal each.

With the victory, South Korea and England share the top spot in Group A. England defeated Argentina 3-0 on the opening day.

South Korea will take on Argentina at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Jeongju World Cup Stadium.
