Gov't Ensuring 2018 Winter Olympics Paralympics Accessible by Disabled

The government is ensuring the host cities of the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics are ready to properly accommodate people with disabilities.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it will launch a two-day inspection from Tuesday to make sure restaurants, accommodations, tourist and other facilities in Pyeongchang and Gangneung are properly accessible for the disabled.

After on-site surveys, the sports ministry plans to overhaul safety bars, automatic doors, ramps and other facilities at private areas in Gangneung and Pyeongchang for those with disabilities.
