South Korean Siamese twins have been successfully separated in an operation in Singapore. A Raffles Hospital spokesman told reporters Tuesday that the Korean twins were successfully separated after four hours of surgery and that they are in stable condition and will remain in intensive care for 48 to 72 hours. The 4-month-old sisters, Ji Hye and Sa Rang, who were joined at the tail bone at a slight angle, will now be able to lead separate lives. The successful operation comes barely two weeks after conjoined Iranian sisters died in an attempt to separate them in the same hospital.
