South Korea and the United States inked Tuesday an agreement to jointly tackle the threat of biochemical terror attacks from other countries.

The two sides said they agreed to establish a joint working-level task force team on biochemical weapons.

Last year, South Korea's intelligence chief said the North is believed to possess as many as 4,000 biochemical munitions.

The agreement was made between South Korean Health and Welfare Minister Kim Hwa-joong and her U.S. counterpart Tommy Thompson.
