Two conjoined South Korean baby girls have become synonymous with "hope" after Singaporean doctors successfully separated them Tuesday, two weeks after the hospital oversaw the deaths of Iranian twin sisters in a similar surgery.

A hospital spokesman said the four-month-old Korean twins were moved to the intensive care unit, but were awake and doing very well.
