South Korean sprinter Kim Kuk-young broke his own national record in the men’s 100 meter with ten-point-07 seconds.

Kim won the men's 100 meter final at the Korea Open International Athletics Competition on Tuesday in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province.

He set the previous record of ten-point-13 seconds just two days earlier on the same track in the semifinals of a different competition.

Kim is now qualified to compete in this year’s world championship in London, as he finished under the championship’s qualifying time of ten-point-12 seconds.
