Son Hyun-joo Wins Best Actor Prize at Moscow Int'l Film Festival

South Korean actor Son Hyun-joo has won the best actor prize at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival.
 
Son won the honor for his role in “Ordinary Person” directed by Kim Bong-han released in March this year. Kim accepted the prize on Thursday on behalf of Son at the awards ceremony held in Moscow.
 
The movie “Ordinary Person” set in the spring of 1987 during the military regime of President Chun Doo-hwan is about a detective who is ordered by the chief of the Agency of National Security Planning to fabricate evidence relating to a serial murder case.
 
The Moscow International Film Festival is one of the four major international film festivals along with the Cannes, Berlin and Venice festivals. It was first held in 1935 and became a regular fixture from 1959.
