"Anarchist from Colony" Tops S. Korean Box Office

South Korea’s new film “Anarchist from Colony” topped local box office rankings on the first weekend of its release.
 
According to the Korean Film Council on Monday, the film directed by Lee Joon-ik drew an audience of 643-thousand on Saturday and Sunday, accounting for 49 percent of weekend sales.
 
The film starring Lee Je-hoon retained the top place, attracting one-point-18 million viewers in total since its release last Wednesday.
 
Another Korean film “Real” also had a successful opening last Wednesday, coming in second in the box office, but slipped to third over the weekend.
 
The Hollywood action blockbuster “Transformers: The Last Knight” moved up to second, while director Bong Joon-ho’s “Okja” came in fourth, attracting 62-thousand viewers over the weekend.
