S. Korea under Heat Wave Advisories Wednesday

Heat wave advisories have been issued for most of the nation amid sweltering temperatures.

The Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA) issued heat wave warnings in Daegu, Gwangju and 12 cities and counties in North Gyeongsang Province and Gangwon Province on Wednesday.
 
Heat wave advisories are also in effect in the capital city Seoul and in the central and southern regions of the nation, including the Sejong administrative city, Gyeonggi Province, South Chungcheong Province, Jeolla provinces and Gyeongsang provinces. Fifteen cities and counties in Gangwon Province, which is located in the northeastern part of the country, also came under heat advisories.
 
The weather agency advised people to avoid outdoor activities and drink lots of water when heat warnings are in place.
