An Se-hyeon Reaches 200m Butterfly Final at FINA Championships

South Korean swimmer An Se-hyeon has advanced to the women’s 200 meter butterfly final at the ongoing 2017 FINA World Aquatics Championships.
 
An secured her place in the final by ranking eighth overall in the semifinals with a time of two minutes seven-point-82 seconds at the world championships at the Danube Arena in Budapest, Hungary on Wednesday.
 
On Monday, An set a South Korean record in the 100 meter butterfly finals with 57-point-07 seconds, breaking the previous Korean record which she set by point-08 seconds in the semifinals on Sunday. She became the fifth South Korean swimmer to reach the butterfly finals in the world championships.
 
An will race for a gold medal in the 200 meter butterfly final on Friday morning Korean time.
