South Korean actor Song Kang-ho has won the best actor prize at the 21st Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada for his role in “A Taxi Driver.”

The movie’s distributor Showbox said on Thursday that Jang Hoon, the director of the movie, accepted the prize on behalf of Song at the closing ceremony of the festival in Montreal on Wednesday.

The prize is Song’s second best actor prize at the festival after his first in 2007 for his role in “The Show Must Go On.”

“A Taxi Driver” was selected as the closing film of this year’s festival and also invited to the competition section.
