KBS Tops Viewership for 7 Consecutive Years

Latest figures show that the Korean Broadcasting System(KBS) has topped the broadcast viewership share ranking for a seventh consecutive year in 2016.
 
In data released Friday, the Korea Communications Commission found that last year the combined viewership of KBS TV channels reached 27-point-58 percent, the highest among all broadcasters.
 
The channels include KBS One, KBS Two and KBS N channels.
 
MBC was a distant second in the viewership share of other terrestrial TV channels at 14-point-98 percent, while SBS came in third with eight-point-67 percent.
 
As for the general programming channels, TV Chosun topped the group with nine-point-eight percent followed by JTBC with seven-point-seven percent.
 
The commission surveyed a total of 388 channels run by 266 broadcasters in the nation.
