S. Korean Edition of Playboy Magazine Hits Stores

The South Korean edition of the U.S. men’s magazine “Playboy” has been released for sale.

Contents firm Kaya Media announced on Monday that it clinched a contract with U.S. Playboy Enterprises and began sales of the South Korean edition of Playboy.

In line with Playboy’s editorial policy, the South Korean edition will comprise of interviews of celebrities and photos as well as stories on political and social issues and lifestyle. It will not feature nude photographs of women.

Playboy was founded by Hugh Hefner in December 1953. It became famous for its daring photographs of naked women. In March of last year, the monthly magazine carried out a major reform and decided to go nonnude. However, the U.S. edition of the magazine began featuring nude photos again since this year's March issue.
