Online ticket sales for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics and the Paralympic Games began on Tuesday.
 
The Olympics organizing committee began sales of tickets for sports events from 2 p.m. on the official Web site www.pyeongchang2018.com.
 
Organizers sold 230-thousand tickets or about 21 percent of the total of over one million tickets during the first phase of ticket sales held for two months since February.
 
Starting November sixth, Olympic tickets will also be sold at Seoul City Hall, the Gangwon Provincial Government building, Incheon International Airport and Korea Train eXpress(KTX) stations in 19 cities nationwide.
 
The PyeongChang games kick off next February.
