A new mini album released on Monday by the South Korean boy band Bangtan Boys or BTS has topped iTunes charts in more than 70 countries.
According to their management agency Big Hit Entertainment, the mini album “Love Yourself: Her” ranked number one on the iTunes Top Album charts as of 8 a.m. Tuesday in 73 countries, including the U.S., Britain, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada and Japan.
With the latest feat, BTS have set the most records of any South Korean artists.
The album’s title track “DNA” also took the number one spot on the iTunes Top Song charts in 29 countries, including Norway, Sweden, Hungary, Brazil, Chile, Hong Kong and Thailand.
Preorders for “Love Yourself: Her” topped one-point-12 million since it was released at 6 p.m. Monday.
BTS will perform their new songs for the first time on stage during the cable channel Mnet's BTS Comeback Show which will air live around the world on Thursday.
