The government has unveiled new textbooks to be used in primary and secondary schools beginning next year.
 
The Education Ministry began showcasing the school textbooks authorized or approved by the government for use from the academic year of 2018.
 
The textbooks being exhibited in schools across the country are for third- and fourth-graders at elementary school and first-graders both at middle school and high school.
 
About 340 out of more than 400 textbooks on display are in online formats.
 
The ministry said the new textbooks are designed to nurture creativity and interdisciplinary skills. They include smaller amounts of study materials than the existing ones and encourage more student participation in the class.
