Traffic Control to be Enforced on Seoul Roads

Roads throughout Seoul will be subject to traffic control in a bid to deal with people headed to and from a range of outdoor events and cultural performances throughout the long Chuseok holiday.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police said Thursday that it will block lanes heading toward the COEX Intersection from Samseong Station between midnight and 3 a.m. on Friday, as roads are expected to busy after the 2017 Gangnam Festival concert kicks off at seven p.m.

Roads from COEX Station to the Bongeun Bridge Intersection will be closed off from 12 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday for the International Peace Marathon while lanes across Bongeun Bridge will be curbed between 8:40 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Also, as the Seoul International Fireworks Festival begins at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, all lanes between Mapo Bridge and the 63 Square Building will be blocked from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
