2017 Korea Festival Kicks Off in Singapore This Weekend

The 2017 Korea Festival is kicking off this weekend in Singapore. 

Twelve teams are competing to make simple Korean dishes in a cooking contest at the start of the  event.

An interactive exhibit called "K-Square" will introduce visitors to Korean pop and beauty culture as well as various places to visit in Korea.

On the 25th, top Korean cinema picks will be playing at Singapore's Shaw Lido Complex, including 'The Himalayas' and 'Run-off 2'.

On the 28th, a Korean speaking contest will take place at the Singapore Korean International School.

The festival runs through November fifth.
