The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs says South Korea has officially regained international status as an avian influenza(AI)-free country.

Authorities say no additional highly pathogenic strain of bird flu has been reported since June 19th.

Authorities say they will not become complacent, and plan to fully implement special quarantine measures put in place earlier this month.
