Kia Tigers and Doosan Bears will go head to head Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Korean Series best-of-seven baseball championship.
 
Doosan has been the champion two years running and is hoping to clinch its third straight title.
 
Head coach Kim Tae-hyung said during a media briefing on Tuesday that he hopes to secure the team's third consecutive victory to the delight of the fans.
 
However, it may be easier said than done as Kia has won the series ten times since 1982 when the Korea Baseball Organization was founded.
 
During the 2017 season, the Tigers and the Bears were neck and neck in their win-loss records. 
 
Kia's head coach Kim Ki-tae says he is pinning high hopes on slugger Oh Jae-il who slammed four homeruns in a single game during the post season.
