The French tourism bureau said Thursday that it has appointed South Korean actress Lee Yeon-hee as its very first PR ambassador.
 
Lee is currently playing the role of a travel guide to France in a Korean cable TV show "The Package" airing on JTBC.
 
First on her schedule as PR ambassador is a shoot for a promotional video in Paris. The clip will highlight hidden attractions in Paris such as the Decorative Arts Museum, the Promenade Plantée park and the Fragonard Perfume Museum. The video will be unveiled on the French tourism bureau's Facebook page in early December.
 
Chief of the bureau's Korea office Corinne Foulquier said the agency together with Lee will seek to showcase the versatile beauty of French cuisine, fashion, arts, popular culture and sports.
 
Lee, meanwhile, pledged her best effort to promote the various aspects of France.
