Kim Ki-duk's 'The Net' Wins Grand Prix at Festival Du Film Politique

South Korean filmmaker Kim Ki-duk has won the Grand Prix at the inaugural French Festival Du Film Politique for his film "The Net."

The organizing committee said Sunday that Kim's "The Net" won the award among six films.

"The Net" depicts a North Korean fisherman's struggle to return to his communist country after straying into South Korean waters due to engine failure.

The Festival Du Film Politique, which opened last Thursday on the French island of Corsica, is a film festival for movies about political issues.
