Fencer Park Wins Men's Épée at Bern World Cup

Olympic gold medalist Park Sang-young has won the men's individual épée event at the fencing World Cup in Bern, Switzerland.
 
Park defeated Ukraine's Bohdan Nikishyn 15-to-8 in the men's épée final on Sunday at the International Fencing Federation’s(FIE) first World Cup of the 2017-2018 season.
 
South Korea's men's épée team also beat Russia in the final round at the same tournament.
 
Meanwhile, in the women's sabre World Cup held in France, Korea finished third in the team event. 
 
Team Korea also clinched seven gold medals at the Asian under-23 Fencing Championships under way in Hanoi, Vietnam, defending its title for the fourth consecutive year.
