The Korea Rail Network Authority has announced that a trial service will begin Tuesday on the entire stretch of railway connecting Incheon International Airport and the Gangwon Province city of Gangneung. 
 
The authority has conducted tests from July to October 19th on a new 120-kilometer section between Wonju and Gangneung to examine the performance and safety of new rail facilities by operating actual trains more than 400 times.
   
Korea Rail Network Authority Chairman and CEO Kang Yeong-il said the final-stage test run will be carried out thoroughly to support a successful PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
 
He vowed to have the new rail line fully opened by December.
