A U.S. Army officer based in Seoul was detained for questioning in connection with the disposal of the body of a Caucasian woman on a highway outside Seoul. Police said the 45-year-old U.S. Army major was caught while attempting to throw a vinyl bag containing the body of the woman off the Yeongjong Grand Bridge into the Yellow Sea on Tuesday. During a joint investigation with U.S. military police, the U.S. officer reportedly admitted to having killed his wife on August 9th, but refused to say why he had committed the murder.
