Russia says that so far there is no grounds for optimism about the nuclear talks.

Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Losyukov made the remarks after meeting delegations from North and South Korea separately in Moscow ahead of six-way talks.

Losyukov said there are big differences, and went so far as to evoke "an abyss of distrust," between the parties, especially between the United States and North Korea.
