Second World Ceramic Biennale to be Held in Gyeonggi Province Next Month

The second World Ceramic Biennale 2003 will simultaneously open in the cities of Incheon, Yeoju and Gwangju for sixty days starting September 1st. Potters and ceramic artists from sixty-eight countries will participate in the event which is aimed at educating the public about the trends of contemporary ceramic arts and fostering the development of ceramic culture in the 21st century. The first biennale was held in 2001 in the same three cities at Gyeonggi Province for 80 days from August to October. It attracted more than six million visitors from 84 countries.
