Weather Agency: Korean Winter Expected to be Warmer than Average Year

Winter in South Korea is expected to be warmer than average, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Thursday.

The weather agency's projection for the next three months shows that the month of December will see mercury fall to around one-point-five degrees Celsius, the average level for that month, however, continental and migratory anticyclones are expected to alter the temperature.

The mercury in January will hit an average of minus one degree or higher, with many clear and dry days. However, if high continental pressure subsists, the temperature could drop substantially.

February is likely to see big changes in temperature due to the influence of continental and migratory anticyclones. The temperature will average one-point-one degrees or above.
