Kim Min-hee has won the best actress award at the 55th Gijón International Film Festival.
 
The event’s organizers said Monday that Kim received the AISGE Award for Best Actress on Saturday for her acting in the film “On the Beach at Night Alone.”
 
The film, directed by Hong Sang-soo, depicts the story of an actress named Young-hee who falls in love with a married man.
 
Earlier in February, Kim won the best actress award at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival for the same performance.
 
Kim recently finished filming another movie directed by Hong. It’s the fifth film directed by Hong in which she has starred.
 
The Gijón International Film Festival is a historic festival that takes place annually in the Spanish port city of Gijón.
