Russian, Swiss, Turkish Delegations Arrive at Athletes Village

Athletes from Russia, Switzerland and Turkey checked in to the athletes' village of the Daegu Summer Universiade Tuesday.
Leonid Rapoport, vice chief of Russia's 70-athlete delegation, expressed gratitude for the host city's hospitality at a ceremony in the athletes' village auditorium.
The village, which occupies some 162,000 square meters of land by the Geumho River in northern Daegu, features 24 15-story apartment complexes with nearly 2,000 furnished units as well as other support facilities, including press and medical centers.
