The world football governing body released December rankings on its Web site on Friday, and South Korea tied with Norway at 14th, earning 18-hundred-68 points.
It's the highest rank for the Korean women's team since FIFA introduced women's rankings for the first time in 2003.
FIFA releases its women's rankings every three months.
South Korea ranked at number 17 in March, improving to 16th in June and 15th in September.
The United States has maintained the top spot since June while Germany remains in second and England third.
