Family members, friends and K-pop fans bade their farewells at a funeral for singer Kim Jonghyun of K-pop group SHINee. 

The funeral service was held at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Asan Hospital in Seoul with the singer's family, friends and performers from the group's agency SM Entertainment in attendance. 

The late singer's coffin was carried out of the hospital by SHINee members and other singers. 

The funeral car carrying Jonghyun's body and cortege departed from the hospital, with hundreds of fans mourning and crying. 

Kim died on Monday in an apparent suicide.
