'IOC Mulling Joint Korean Women's Ice Hockey Team'

North Korea's International Olympic Committee(IOC) representative says the IOC is considering the idea of fielding a single inter-Korean team for women's ice hockey at the PyeongChang Games.

North Korea's IOC official Chang Ung made the remark while speaking to reporters at Beijing Capital International Airport on Saturday on his way back home from Lausanne, Switzerland where he discussed his country's participation in the PyeongChang Olympics with the IOC.

South Korea had suggested a joint women's ice hockey when the two Koreas met for their first high-level talks in two years on Tuesday.

Chang said it's not for one side to decide but for all parties to discuss at the IOC.

When asked whether North Korea was positively reviewing the idea of a single team, Chang did not give an immediate response.
