Torrential Rains Leave 150 Homeless in Central Region

The National Anti-Disaster Headquarters says some one thousand buildings and five-hundred-20 hectares of farm land in the central region have been submerged due to torrential rains. Up to three hundred millimeters of rain hit Seoul and surrounding Gyeonggi areas, leaving one-hundred-50 people homeless. With rain clouds drifting southward, a heavy rain alert has been issued for southern provinces as of Monday morning. Weathermen forecast an additional 20 to 80 millimeters of rain for the Gangwon and Chungcheong regions
