2.5 Magnitude Aftershock Hits Pohang

A minor earthquake was detected in the southeastern city of Pohang on Tuesday morning.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that the shock with a magnitude of two-point-five occurred five kilometers northwest of the city's Buk district at 9:18 a.m. with a depth of 12 kilometers.

The weather agency estimated that the latest tremor is the 82nd aftershock of a five-point-four magnitude earthquake that rattled the city on November 15th last year.

Earlier this month, minor quakes of a magnitude of over two occurred in the city for three straight days from last Friday after a one-month hiatus.
